Upgrading to SFRAC 4.1

If you are using VERITAS DBE/AC 3.5 for Oracle9i RAC in a cluster, you can upgrade the cluster to SFRAC 4.1. The upgrade process involves the following tasks:

  Uninstalling DBE/AC for Oracle9i RAC.

  Backing up and Removing Configuration Files.

  Upgrading the HP-UX Operating System.

  Installing and Configuring SFRAC 4.1.

  Installing License Key for Storage Mapping and Storage Checkpoints.

  Copying the VCS Configuration File.

  Editing the VCS Configuration File.

  Verifying and Copying the main.cf to Cluster Nodes.

  Starting VCS, CVM, and CFS on All Nodes.

  Upgrading the Disk Layout.

  Linking SFRAC Libraries with Oracle.
