Prerequisites

The following are the prerequisites for installing Informix.

  Verify that all systems have enough resources, such as shared memory, to run the Informix Dynamic Server and VCS.

  Install and configure the application. (If necessary, review the Informix Dynamic Server documentation.)

  If a previous version of the Informix agent exists, uninstall it.

  Verify that the informix account is a valid and identical UNIX account on all systems that will run Informix Dynamic Server.
