By clicking the Edit button on the Data Guard Overpage, you can change the state of a database or change the properties of a database. Click the General link to change the database state, and click either the Standby Role Properties or Common Properties link to change the database properties. If you need a description of the Data Guard Overview page, see the description provided with Figure 5-2.

This screenshot shows how to change the state of a database. You can change between the online, log apply off, and read only states. This scenario is changing the state to log apply off.

At this time, you can Revert or Apply the change. This scenario assumes you are applying the change to log apply off.
