Resetting ALOM reboots the ALOM software. You might want to reset ALOM after you have changed settings on ALOM, such as specifying a new value for a configuration variable. You might also want to reset ALOM from the system console if ALOM stops responding for any reason.
There are two ways to reset ALOM:
