The Netra CP2160 Board Release Notes contains important and late-breaking information about the Netra CP2160 CompactPCI host/satellite board.

When used as a system controller and while used along with the Sun Dual FastEthernet/SCSI 6U CompactPCI Adapter with PMC, the Netra CP2160 board displays the following warning message:
You can safely disregard this message.
The following versions are for the current release of the Netra CP2160 CPU board:
To display the current firmware version, use the .version command at the OpenBoot PROM prompt.
If you do not have the correct versions of the firmware, go to the SunSolve Web site, http://www.sun.com/sunsolve, and download the following firmware patch: 116346.
Refer to the Readme file in the patch for any special installation instructions, and to the Netra CP2160 Technical Reference and Installation Manual (816-5772-xx) for instructions on upgrading the firmware.
Point patches related to the Netra CP2160 board are available for download. To download the latest software patches, go to the SunSolve Web site and search for CP2160 in the Search SunSolve window:
The point patches for the Netra CP2160 boards that run the Solaris 8 Operating Environment are listed in TABLE 2. Install these patches exactly in the order they are presented in TABLE 2.
Note - These patches are not needed if you are using a Netra CP2160 board running the Solaris 9 Operating Environment. |
