[NOTE]:
  When you uses the following software for backup etc,please install 
  Raid Manager/LIB of '../RL' directory under on the CD. 
  - Enterprise SnapShot software which is provided by BMC.
  - Remote performance monitor which is provided by HP.
  - Omniback software which is provided by HP.
  - RAID management software which is provided by HP or other ISV.

1.Introduction
  This attached document is describing as for the supported contents by the 
  following software products.
  - Raid Manager XP for HP-UX
  - Raid Manager XP for WindowsNT
  - Raid Manager XP for Solaris
  - Raid Manager XP for AIX
  - Raid Manager XP for Tru64 UNIX (Digital UNIX)
  - Raid Manager XP for DYNIX
  - Raid Manager XP for Linux
  - Raid Manager XP for MPE/iX 
  - Raid Manager XP for IRIX
  - Raid Manager XP for OpenVMS
  - Raid Manager XP for zLinux
  
2.Prerequisite operating system and Applying machine
 (1) Operating system
   - HP-UX10.20 or higher  on the HP9000 Series or HITACHI 9000/V
   - WindowsNT 4.0 or higher    on the Pentium or Compatible Processor 
   - Windows2000   or higher    on the Pentium or Compatible Processor
   - Windows2003   or higher  on the Pentium or Itanium or Compatible Processor
   - Solaris 2.5 or higher on the SUN SPARC or SUN ULTRA Series Server  
   - AIX 4.3 or higher     on the RS6000 Series Server
   - Digital UNIX 4.0 or higher on the Alpha Server Models
   - Tru64   UNIX 5.0 or higher on the Alpha Server Models
   - DYNIX/ptx 4.4 or higher    on the Symmetry 5000 Series
   - Red Hat Linux 6.0/7.0/8.0 or higher on the Pentium or Compatible Processor

   - MPE/iX C.16.01 or higher  on the HP3000 Series Server
     MPE/iX has being installed the patch MPEKXU3 for using the SCSI
     pass-thru driver.
   - IRIX64 6.5 or higher      on the origin 2000 Series
   - OpenVMS 7.3-1 or higher   on the Alpha Server Models
     C RTL must be installed prior to running Raid Manager.
     (Compaq C V6.5-001 was used in testing.)
   - SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 on zSeries or S/390 Processor

 (2) Microcode for the XP
   - XP256:  52-47-XX or higher 
   - XP512:  01-16-00 or higher 
   - XP1024: 21-10-00 or higher

4.Supporting function contents from Ver. 01.16.06
  This version has added the following functions. 
  - Support for CoW SnapShot
    - Supported the descriptions for MU#0-63 of SnapShot.
    - Added "-pid <PID>" option for the paircreate command.
    - Added "-v pool" option for the raidvchkdsp and raidvchkscan command.
    - Added "-v pid" option for the  raidvchkscan command.
    - Added "raidscan -m all" for displaying  all MU# .
    - Added the status code for SnapShot volume to the pairvolchk command.
    - Added the identification of SnapShot in SMPL state to the
      'pairdisplay -fe' command.
    - Added the identification of the LDEV mapped to a SnapShot to
      the inqraid command and '-x drivescan' option.
    - Added the following identifications to the inqraid command.
      - Identification of SLPR and CLPR.
      - Identification for MU#0-63 of SnapShot used '-fw' option.
  - Support for displaying the journal of UR
    - Added "-v jnlt" option to the  raidvchkscan command in order for
      the identification of journal timers.
    - Added "-v jnl[t]" option to the  pairdisplay command in order for
      displaying of the remote journal.
  - Addition of the indication for displaying LDEV blockading
    - Added the indication of LDEV blockading to the pairvolchk command.
    - Added the indication of LDEV blockading to "EM" of the pairdisplay
      and raidvchkdsp command.
  - Support of usable configuration file with Serial#/LDEV# as "HORCM_LDEV".

  This version has changed as follows.
  - Changed "/var/tmp" directory for unix domain socket.
  - Added special checking of '-' for the following strings.
    '-nocopy, -split' for paircreate command
    '-restore, -swapp, -swaps' for pairresync command

9.Installation on the UNIX System
  These software products are placed to the following directory under 
  with "cpio" format.
  [Example for HP-UX]
  - Raid Manager XP for HP-UX ---> ./program/RM/HP-UX/RMXP
                                               ('./' is mounted point)
  The following procedures are manual installation.
  Please use 'RMinstsh'&'RMuninst' script for automatically installation.

9.1 Procedure for New Introduction
    - Change a current directory to a specification directory.
      # cd  /'Specification Directory'
    - Installs to 'Specification Directory' using "cpio" command.
      # cpio -idmu  <  ./program/RM/HP-UX/RMXP
    - Makes symbolic link for /HORCM.
      # ln -s /'Specification Directory'/HORCM  /HORCM
    - Executes the RAID Manager installation command.
      # /HORCM/horcminstall.sh

9.2 Procedure for Version Up
    Please confirms whether HORCM has performing or not.
    If HORCM has performing,then stop by using horcmshutdown.sh.
    - In case of 1 instance configuration of HORCM
      # horcmshutdown.sh
    - In case of multiple instances configuration of HORCM
      # horcmshutdown.sh  0 1 ...
    Also If HORC commands has performing in the interactive mode,
    then terminates these commands by using "-q"option.
     
 (1)Procedure for Version Up
    - Change a current directory to a root directory.
      # cd /
    - Installs to disk using "cpio" command.
      # cpio -idmu  <  ./program/RM/HP-UX/RMXP
    - Executes the RAID Manager installation command.
      # /HORCM/horcminstall.sh

9.3 Version confirmation after Installation
    After new introduction or version-up,please confirms version information
    (Ver & Rev) by using the following command.

    # raidqry -h
    Model   : Raid-Manager-XP/HP-UX 
    Ver&Rev : 01.17.04 
    Usage   : raidqry [options]

9.4 Uninstallation Procedure
    Deletion of a software product does in following procedure.
    Please refer to section 9.2 for confirming whether HORCM has performing.
   
    - Executes an uninstallation command.
      # /HORCM/horcmuninstall.sh
    - Change a current directory to a root directory.
      # cd  /
    - Deletes symbolic link for /HORCM.
      /HORCM is symbolical linked to /Installed directory/HORCM.
      # rm  /HORCM
    - Deletes a software product by using "rm" command.
      # rm -rf /'Installed directory'/HORCM

10.Installation on the WindowsNT System
   These software product are placed to the following directory.
   - Raid Manager XP for WindowsNT ---> ./program/RM/WIN_NT/RMXP
                                                     ('./' is mounted point)
   If network(TCP/IP) has no establishment then installs a network of WindowsNT
   attachment,and adds TCP/IP protocol,too.

10.1 Procedure for New Introduction
   - Executes Setup.exe of under ./program/RM/WIN_NT/RMXP directory.

10.2 Procedure for Version Up
     Please confirms whether HORCM has performing or not.
     If HORCM has performing,then stop by using horcmshutdown.exe.
     - In case of 1 instance configuration of HORCM
       C:\HORCM\etc>  horcmshutdown
     - In case of multiple instances configuration of HORCM
       C:\HORCM\etc>  horcmshutdown 0 1 ...
     Also If HORC commands has performing in the interactive mode,
     then terminates these commands by using "-q"option.
     
  (1)Procedure for Version Up
     - Delete the installed RAID Manager by using "Addition and deletion 
       of application" of the control panel.
     - Executes Setup.exe of under ./program/RM/WIN_NT/RMXP directory.

10.3 Version confirmation after Installation
     After new introduction or version-up,please confirms version information
     (Ver & Rev) by using the following command.  
   
     [Display example]
     C:\HORCM\etc> raidqry -h
     Model   : Raid-Manager-XP/WindowsNT 
     Ver&Rev : 01.17.04 
     Usage   : raidqry [options]

10.4 Uninstallation Procedure
     Deletion of a software product does in following procedure.
     Please refer to section 10.2 for confirming whether HORCM has performing.
   
     - Delete the installed RAID Manager by using "Addition and deletion 
       of application" of the control panel.

11.Installation on the MPE System
  These software products are placed to the following directory under 
  with "tar" format.
  - Raid Manager XP for MPE/iX ---> ./program/RM/MPE/RMXP
                                               ('./' is mounted point)
  The following procedures are manual installation.
  Please use 'RMinstsh'&'RMuninst' script for automatically installation.

11.1 Procedure for New Introduction
    - Change a current directory to a specification directory.
      # cd  /'Specification Directory'
    - Installs to 'Specification Directory' using "tar" command.
      # tar xfp ./program/RM/MPE/RMXP
    - Makes symbolic link for /HORCM.
      # ln -s /'Specification Directory'/HORCM  /HORCM
    - Executes the RAID Manager installation command.
      # /HORCM/horcminstall.sh

11.2 Procedure for Version Up
    Please confirms whether HORCM has performing or not.
    If HORCM has performing,then stop by using horcmshutdown.sh.
    - In case of 1 instance configuration of HORCM
      # horcmshutdown.sh
    - In case of multiple instances configuration of HORCM
      # horcmshutdown.sh  0 1 ...

11.3 Version confirmation after Installation

11.4 Uninstallation Procedure
    Deletion of a software product does in following procedure.
    Please refer to section 9.2 for confirming whether HORCM has performing.
   
    - Executes an uninstallation command.
      # /HORCM/horcmuninstall.sh
    - Change a current directory to a root directory.
      # cd  /
    - Deletes symbolic link for /HORCM.
      /HORCM is symbolical linked to /Installed directory/HORCM.
      # rm  /HORCM
    - Deletes a software product by using "rm" command.
      # rm -rf /'Installed directory'/HORCM
    [Note]:
    RMuninst command or "rm  -rf  /'Installed directory'/HORCM" command cannot
    remove the directorys (/HORCM/log*/curlog only) after the HORCM had 
    performing.
    Only way to remove the log directory for RMuninst
    (rm -rf /'Installed directory'/HORCM ) command is going shutdown and 
    rebooted the MPE system.
    Therefore, You have to use RMuninst (rm -rf /'Installed directory'/HORCM )
    command after the MPE system had being shutdown and rebooted. 

12.Installation for the OpenVMS System
   Raid Manager requires to be defined three logical names shown below
   for Raid Manager in LOGIN.COM.
   - $ DEFINE/TRANSLATION=(CONCEALED,TERMINAL) SYS$POSIX_ROOT "Device:[directory]"
   - $ DEFINE DCL$PATH SYS$POSIX_ROOT:[horcm.usr.bin],SYS$POSIX_ROOT:[horcm.etc]
   - $ DEFINE/TABLE=LNM$PROCESS_DIRECTORY LNM$TEMPORARY_MAILBOX LNM$GROUP
   - $ DEFINE DECC$ARGV_PARSE_STYLE ENABLE
   - $ SET PROCESS/PARSE_STYLE=EXTENDED
     [Note]  Device:[directory] where is defined as SYS$POSIX_ROOT

   These program product are placed as the following PCSI file.
   - Device:[PROGRAM.RM.OVMS]HP-AXPVMS-RMXP-V0117-4-1.PCSI
                                           ('Device' is the mounted CD )
   If network(TCP/IP) has no establishment then installs TCP/IP.

12.1 Procedure for New Introduction
     $ PRODUCT INSTALL RMXP /source=Device:[PROGRAM.RM.OVMS]/LOG -
     _$ /destination=SYS$POSIX_ROOT:[000000]
                                           ('Device' is the mounted CD )

12.2 Procedure for Version Up
 (1) Please confirms whether HORCM has performing or not.
     If HORCM has performing,then stop by using horcmshutdown.exe.
     - In case of 1 instance configuration of HORCM
       $ horcmshutdown
     - In case of multiple instances configuration of HORCM
       $ horcmshutdown 0 1 ...
     Also If HORC commands has performing in the interactive mode,
     then terminates these commands by using "-q"option.

 (2) Procedure for Version Up
     $ PRODUCT INSTALL RMXP /source=Device:[PROGRAM.RM.OVMS]/LOG
                                           ('Device' is the mounted CD )

12.3 Version confirmation after Installation
     After new introduction or version-up,please confirms version information
     (Ver & Rev) by using the following command.

     [Display example]
     $ raidqry -h
     Model   : Raid-Manager-XP/OpenVMS

12.4 Uninstallation Procedure
     Deletes the installed RAID Manager by using the following command.
     Please refer to section 12.2 for confirming whether HORCM has performing.
