1.0  OVERVIEW
=============


HP StorageWorks Performance Advisor (PA) is an Internet application that
collects and monitors real-time performance of the HP StorageWorks family
of disk array products. Using a simple browser-based interface, you can 
quickly customize performance data collection and set performance alarms. 
PA provides real-time and historical data on the following: 

* LDEV I/O
* Front-end and back-end port utilization 
* Internal bus utilization 
* Cache usage 

The features and defect fixes summarized below are described in detail in 
sections 2.0 and 3.0. Section 4.0 discusses known issues and section 5.0 
provides an appendix for miscellaneous information not covered in the 
previous sections.

Please refer to the PA Installation Guide for the full and patch installation 
instructions.

2.0  New Features

This release introduces the following features in this version of 
Performance Advisor:

3.0  Defect Fixes
=================

Following are the defect fixes implemented in this version of Performance Advisor:

1. Improves retrieval time of data for the Chart screen.
2. Includes usage information in the exported data for MPs of ACPS on Cluster 2
   of XP256.
3. Fixes a defect in which the Host Agent crashed or did not return data from
   the array to management station.

5.3 Performance Advisor and Command View co-existence on Windows 2003 Enterprise
    Edition System (32-bit)

    If Performance Advisor has to co-exist with Command View on Windows 2003 
    Enterprise Edition System, then Performance Advisor will adhere to the JRE 
    and Java Plug-In settings set by Command View.
