This is an illustration of a clustered ASM configuration with three single-instance Oracle Databases across the top of the illustration. Below these are three clustered ASM instances, one for each database. Because the three ASM instances are clustered ASM instances, they interoperate to serve all three of the Oracle Databases. Below the clustered ASM instances are three single-instance Oracle Database images: each one serves one of the single-instance Oracle Databases depicted at the top. All three of the databases share access to an ASM clustered pool of storage that appears at the bottom of the diagram. The clustered storage pool has two disk groups, disk group A and disk group B. Disk group A has four disks and disk group B has two disks.
