• WAREHOUSE.ACME.COM is the database server and is in the prepared state.

• HQ.ACME.COM is the commit point site and has issued the commit request.

The failure occurs during the commit phase when a communication break between HQ.ACME.COM and SALES.ACME.COM disrupts the transaction.
