Network Interface Variables

The network interface variables specify the network settings that ALOM uses across its Ethernet connection at the network management (NET MGT) port on the host server.

ALOM uses the following network interface variables:

if_emailalerts
if_network
if_modem
netsc_dhcp
netsc_ipaddr
netsc_ipnetmask
netsc_ipgateway
netsc_tpelinktest
netsc_enetaddr

From the ALOM command shell:

To specify a value (or values) for this variable, use the setupsc command.
To show the configuration variables and their settings, use the showsc command.
To set a value for a configuration variable, use the setsc command.
To reset all variables to their factory defaults, use the setdefaults command.

Using the scadm utility:

To view the current value, use the show command.
To change the value, use the set command.
