Known Issues

/etc/init.d/dbora File

There is a code error in the /etc/init.d/dbora file. You must fix this error before you reboot the cluster for the first time.

1. On each cluster node, open the /etc/init.d/dbora file in a text editor.

2. Find line 45 in the file.

The line should read as follows:

sleep $WAIT_SLEEP # Do NOT Remove this line.

The $WAIT_SLEEP variable is an undefined shell variable.

3. Change line 45 so that it reads as follows:

sleep $WAIT_TIME # Do NOT Remove this line.

Caution - You must change this line on both cluster nodes before you reboot the cluster for the first time. Use of the undefined shell variable may cause the Oracle9i software to start itself on a cluster node before the VERITAS VxVM software has gained access to the Sun StorEdgetrademark T3 arrays. If this occurs, the Oracle9i software start-up will fail.
