Cluster Node Installation Output

This appendix contains an example of the installation output when you install the Oracle software.



Note - It is possible that the first node, which does the majority of the work of creating the VERITAS volumes and copying the data out of them, may be listed as the second node in the /etc/hosts file. Thus, in the output for the first node, you may see the following message:

orcl2 warm started

The second node would then see that the volumes are in place and start its Oracle instance, which would cause the following message to appear:

orcl1 warm started

The number of the Oracle instance depends on the order in the /etc/hosts file, not the order in which they were installed.
