Installing Solaris

A separate installation CD is not required and you should use the installation CD supplied in the Solaris media kit to install the operating environment.

Follow the standard procedure for installing Solaris, as described in the documentation provided in the media kit.

The Lights Out Management 2 software (mandatory) and SunVTS software (optional) are included on the Software Supplemental CD supplied in the media kit.

Note - Solaris 8 Update 2/02 includes version 4.6 of SunVTS on the Software Supplement CD. This update will not work with earlier revisions of SunVTS.
